Yes, it’s a famous New Orleans entrée, but Jumbalia in Lincoln Park offers much, much more!
At first glance, the boutique’s front window reminds me of a cheesy souvenir shop on the Las Vegas strip showcasing feather boas and metallic top hats. However, it was a completely different story when I went inside and found retro-glam accessories and tons of eclectic gifts for the special people in my life. I spent 2 hours trying on hats and scarves, choosing handbags and wallets for girlfriends; I was in heaven! I also found tons of vanilla and spice (not stew) scented candles and incense to add to my growing collection. Did I mention SALES? ALL THE TIME. 10-30% off of most items, 50% if you’re lucky. The only thing missing from this hidden gem was a menu offering Cajun food.
